let it snow

I have been taking art lessons at noon hour with a local artist. Each week we have been doing something different. I really enjoy them.

For the picture above, the art teacher had already painted the cardstock dark blue.Then we painted a winter scene with tempera paint and permanent black markers. The snowflakes were made by flicking white paint in the sky using a toothbrush.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Jane: I wish I had been born 30 years later so I could document my own artistic growth the way you'll be able to. Your dad is a very creative thinker, isn't he? And I loved this painting when I first saw it. The snowmen are loaded with personality.

Happy art-making!

I loved this, and the bright flowers, when your Dad showcased them originally.

Enjoy your gift. I know I will

Wow! seems to be an overworked expression these days, but it's the right expression here.
You have two gifts - you art and a father who appreciates you.
Good luck,Jane.

Congratulations Jane! I love your art, and it's nice to hear about how you created this wonderful snowman picture. When I look at it, I remember the great snowmen you made on my front lawn.

Wonderful!! I've been showing your pictures to my daughter Emma for months. She made me put this on her bookmarks so that she can come back whenever she wishes.

Great gift, Daddy!
